Al-Mutaffifin

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 1Woe to those who give less [than due],وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ۝١
2. 2Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ۝٢
3. 3But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ۝٣
4. 4Do they not think that they will be resurrectedأَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ۝٤
5. 5For a tremendous Day -لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ۝٥
6. 6The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ۝٦
7. 7No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ۝٧
8. 8And what can make you know what is sijjeen?وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ۝٨
9. 9It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.كِتَٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ۝٩
10. 10Woe, that Day, to the deniers,وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ۝١٠
11. 11Who deny the Day of Recompense.ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ۝١١
12. 12And none deny it except every sinful transgressor.وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ۝١٢
13. 13When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ۝١٣
14. 14No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ۝١٤
15. 15No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ۝١٥
16. 16Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ۝١٦
17. 17Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny."ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ۝١٧
18. 18No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun.كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ۝١٨
19. 19And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun?وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ۝١٩
20. 20It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribedكِتَٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ۝٢٠
21. 21Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ۝٢١
22. 22Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasureإِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ۝٢٢
23. 23On adorned couches, observing.عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ۝٢٣
24. 24You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.تَعْرِفُ فِى وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ۝٢٤
25. 25They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ۝٢٥
26. 26The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسْكٌ وَفِى ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلْمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ۝٢٦
27. 27And its mixture is of Tasneem,وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ۝٢٧
28. 28A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink.عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ۝٢٨
29. 29Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ۝٢٩
30. 30And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ۝٣٠
31. 31And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ۝٣١
32. 32And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ۝٣٢
33. 33But they had not been sent as guardians over them.وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ حَٰفِظِينَ۝٣٣
34. 34So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ۝٣٤
35. 35On adorned couches, observing.عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ۝٣٥
36. 36Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?هَلْ ثُوِّبَ ٱلْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ۝٣٦

Translation: Saheeh International. Choose another in Reading settings (Aa).
