At-Takwir

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 1When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ۝١
2. 2And when the stars fall, dispersing,وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ۝٢
3. 3And when the mountains are removedوَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ۝٣
4. 4And when full-term she-camels are neglectedوَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ۝٤
5. 5And when the wild beasts are gatheredوَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ۝٥
6. 6And when the seas are filled with flameوَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ۝٦
7. 7And when the souls are pairedوَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ۝٧
8. 8And when the girl [who was] buried alive is askedوَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ۝٨
9. 9For what sin she was killedبِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍ قُتِلَتْ۝٩
10. 10And when the pages are made publicوَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ۝١٠
11. 11And when the sky is stripped awayوَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ۝١١
12. 12And when Hellfire is set ablazeوَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ۝١٢
13. 13And when Paradise is brought near,وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ۝١٣
14. 14A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ۝١٤
15. 15So I swear by the retreating stars -فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ۝١٥
16. 16Those that run [their courses] and disappear -ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ۝١٦
17. 17And by the night as it closes inوَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ۝١٧
18. 18And by the dawn when it breathesوَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ۝١٨
19. 19[That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messengerإِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ۝١٩
20. 20[Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position],ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ۝٢٠
21. 21Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy.مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ۝٢١
22. 22And your companion is not [at all] mad.وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍ۝٢٢
23. 23And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon.وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ۝٢٣
24. 24And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen.وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ۝٢٤
25. 25And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَٰنٍ رَّجِيمٍ۝٢٥
26. 26So where are you going?فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ۝٢٦
27. 27It is not except a reminder to the worldsإِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ۝٢٧
28. 28For whoever wills among you to take a right course.لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ۝٢٨
29. 29And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds.وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ۝٢٩
